Landscape
Landscape Ecology Limited are Chartered Members of the Landscape Institute with many years experience undertaking landscape planning, design and management projects. A brief synopses of the services we provide are outlined below;
Landscape Design
Often following on from the planning stage, this involves master-planning and firming up proposals put forward at the planning stage – the seamless integration of potential constraints into the design are our speciality.
Landscape Management
Often overlooked, landscape management is an essential element in maintaining a functioning resource. Landscape Ecology Limited can draw on their considerable experience of managing landscapes to provide responsive and proactive landscape scale management.
Landscape Clerk-of-Works
Maintaining records of the progress of environmental works on construction sites is now recognised best practice. Landscape Ecology Limited have experience in liaising with Contractors environmental teams so that quality standards are adhered to and importantly, recorded.

Ecology
Landscape Ecology Limited understands the value and importance of retaining/creating habitats, we also understand the rigorous legislation in place to protect these habitats and the species that might inhabit them. Landscape Ecology Limited can assist in guiding the client through the legislation, ensuring that their activities remain fully legal from initial survey to project completion and beyond.
Landscape Ecology Limited ecologists are full members of the Chartered Institute of Ecology & Environmental Management and undertake a wide variety of ecological services including;
Phase 1 Survey
The aim of a Phase 1 Survey is to provide relatively rapidly a record of the semi-natural vegetation and wildlife habitat over large areas.
Extended Phase 1 Survey
Builds on the Phase 1 Survey by providing species lists and details on the potential for protected species that may inhabit the site.
Protected Species Surveys
These usually follow on from the information provided in the Extended Phase 1 Survey. Information from the Protected Species Surveys enables appropriate mitigation to be proposed for any development site.
Habitat Restoration, Creation and Management
Our starting point would be the Extended Phase 1 Survey, we’d then look out from the site at the landscape scale, tying in and linking appropriately with adjacent habitats.
